My Mother, Dorothy, just turned 95, and has been a guest at The Groton Regency for 18 months now. I never thought it possible, but I notice that her dementia appears to be getting better. It is so nice to find a nursing home that makes an effort to improve the health and well being of their guest. Other nursing homes should use this one for an example of how a retirement home should be run. My Grandmother was in a retirement home in Maine and I will always remember things like the smell of a hospital, cold concrete walls, lots of stainless steel, and why do they always use that dull green paint?
