This is the biggest scam! I bought a living social deal that was supposed to be the following: weight loss program including initial MD consult, 4 B-12 injections, one on one custom nutritional counseling, dietary and fitness analysis, and a prescription for appetite suppressants. Here's what I received - Nurse said I needed to take fish oil, multi vitamin and some sort of diuretic, which amounted to about $50. In addition to my vitamin B-12, they wanted me to take fat burning injections 2X per week for about $30 extra per shot. When I said I wasn't interested in taking any pills, the nurse said it was ""mandatory"" as part of the ""program."" Although I was completely against taking some sort of fat burning injections that I have no ideas what it is, taking a diuretic that can make me have ""accidents"" (nurse said it usually doesn't happen), or taking appetite suppressants, I thought I'd stay around and listen to what the doctor says. The doctor walks in and tells me the following as part of my nutritional counseling program. Eat 1200 calories a day and walk 5X a week for 20 min. That's it? That's my program, I asked? You're not going to put me on a long term, healthy diet plan that I can maintain? She said I would advise you to take appetite suppressants b/c staying on 1200 calories is impossible without it. In addition, if you want to learn about how to count calories, go to the website calorieking. Don't do any strength training at all (this is so contrary to anything I've ever heard from a health professional), not even sit ups. All she wanted me to do was walk. When I began explaining that I didn't want to lose a bunch of weight in the first month just to gain it all back, all she reiterated was that I wouldn't be able to lose anything without appetite suppressants. I think this place is a huge scam and is taking advantage of people who want to see quick results the very unhealthy way so that they can keep prescribing you with injections and pills. Of course you're going to lose weight if you're not eating very much! Not to mention, you're losing muscle by not doing strength training so you seem to be dropping pounds. When I checked out, they asked me to make a follow up appointment for another $55. For what? So the doctor can come in and see if I found calorieking???
