Looking to get away if only in your mind? Then venture on up to the 3rd floor Mall of America and stroll in to Kokomo's Island Cafe. You will be greeted by friendly ""natives"" who will escort you to your table or point you in the direction of the Tiki gods welcoming you into the bar for your favorite Boat Drink or libation. The food is a delightful escape from the ordinary. From the JamaicanJerk wings to the Cuban sandwich with a side of Mango Salsa your tastebuds will be doing the limbo. There are plenty of kid friendly items available as well. The wait staff and the bartenders will make you feel like Kokomo's is your corner bar and grill where everybody knows your name, in fact it's not uncommon to find the owners chatting with the customers like old friends.
Pros: Tropical setting, family friendly
Cons: The Mall makes them close too early.
