Review content:
I have eaten at Kokomo's a few times, and I have had both very good and somewhat bad experiences, depending on the server and time of day. The best service was surprisingly during a mealtime when they were busy - the worst was later in the evening when a bartender was our waitress and the food we ordered was full of unwelcome substitutions (probably ran out of certain items). I recommend ordering the big ""Luau"" platter (roughly $40) that feeds about 3-4 adults. This gives you a taste of their most delcious items and is served in a fun way with coconut shrimp skewered on a pineapple top in the center of the platter. This item is not listed on the mall entrance menu board, but you will find it on the menu once inside. We have ordered this item twice - the first time it was wonderful, but the second time had substitutions (plain cooked broccoli instead of their delicious spicy green beans) and less food overall, plus not proper serving utensils nor large enough plates. I would still return and give it another try - the first time was delicious. We have also brought our 1-year-old child along, and Kokomo's is great for kids. Just hope for one of the more attentive servers.
Pros: fun, tasty food
Cons: servers both very good and very bad
