Review content:
The local police force (LPD) nabbed me for the high offense of riding my bicycle past a clear intersection with a stop sign w/o coming to a full stop. I asked for a formal hearing from the 79th DC, and instead of setting one up, they and the LPD tried to force me from exercising this right by contacting my bosses in the Fire Dept. and giving them false info about my stop. They then assigned me Probate Judge Raven, who by law, has no jurisdiction to try civil infractions, but has a grudge against me and friendships with the city. The 79th also gave me a notice to appear without legally-needed data for this hearing and set up the city as plaintiff instead of the state, another illegal procedure in that I supposedly violated a state law. After being found guilty, and not paying the bill, due to the judge having no jurisdiction over the case, I received a notice for a show cause hearing to show why I hadn't payed (again it was lacking necessary legal info as required by law. In my SC hearing, Judge Raven never showed he had jurisdiction even though I entered into evidence the laws which say he had none, and would not allow me to enter other evidence which showed improper due process. Even so, state laws say you cannot be held in contempt for defying a court order from a court w/o jurisdiction, but he assigned me 15 days in jail if I did not pay the fine the next day. The next day I showed the court two laws saying that they could hold me a maximum of six, and went to jail in civil contempt. This was in October 2009. Oh yes, the 79th DC passed my offense over to the Sec. of State, again against the law, as my offense was a bicycle offense. This sent my car insurance sky-rocketing needlessly and took a couple of months to correct.
Pros: Great Conviction Rates
Cons: Does not follow the law
