This guy was horrible. All I needed him to do was the decking and a railing. I did the rest. I just wanted the finishing to look it was professionally done. As soon as he had his 40% payment, he no-showed three times and lied about where he was. He FINALLY showed up when I was out of town and did the project completely wrong. When I initially constructed the deck, I made a few changes along the way. When I when over the changes on the plan, I asked him ""Do you need to take notes?"". He told me that he had been doing this for 25 years and that he knew what he was doing. When I got back, I had to have him redo the work. His excuse was ""it wasn't on the plan"" however, he did not do everything that WAS on the plan. He did not have an excuse for that. At the end of the project, I wound up spending 1 day fixing up what he didn't do and of course...HIS work failed final inspection. This was a simple deck, he screwed it up and charged me way too much for what little he did. If I had more time, I would have taken him to court. DO NOT USE HIM!
