Review content:
Be warned, this is NOT the Geppetto's you remember! I wish someone would have warned us. Instead we blew over $50 on horrible burgers and fries for our family of 5. I grew up going to Geppetto's my whole life, but I now live 5 hours away and hadn't been to Geppetto's in years. We should have known something wasn't right when we first walked in, and in the height of tourist season, the place was empty, but for one table. There also were no employees in sight anywhere. No cook, no servers, nobody. The other strange thing I noticed was that the dessert case that used to be full of delicious looking treats, was now strewn haphazardly with cook books, but no desserts. Odd. We finally tracked down a server next door at the Beau Club who told us to go ahead and seat ourselves. I'll skip the horrible service part and get right to the most important thing which is how terrible the food was. We had raved for years to our kids about the wonderful tofu burgers, so our 12 yo ordered one. It was not the same. There was no delicious breading on it. It was simply a slab of plain tofu thrown on the grill
