Ok - me, well into middle age, new to the area. I've been biking regularly for near 30 years and have several very high end custom bikes, but am a relative newbie to road biking. The first time I went in I dealt mostly with the head mechanic. We discussed four things to be done to a bike (front hub overhaul, new chain, brake pad replacement adjustment and bottom bracket OH). I dropped off the bike a week later and after four days in the shop it was ""done"". The only thing they did was the front hub - ""forgot"" to do the other three things. Second time was to buy some shoes. My wife was with me and after we left she said, ""Why do you go in there - they're so rude"". Nuf said - there's plenty of other shops to try.
