Review content:
I first went to Splash of Color Tattoo in East Lansing to consult with an artist about getting my first tattoo. I wanted to get the tattoo on my ankle but the artist told me that they don't do them there because the artwork will fade faster. Ok, thanks for the warning, that's a good thing to know. I said I was still willing to pay to get it done on my ankle.... the artist refused again because he said that it's the artist's artwork and he just won't do it. Hello!! I drew the design and I'm a customer willing to pay for a tattoo! He was quite rude and then also tried to ""warn"" me that any place willing to do a tattoo on an ankle is a shady establishment. Whatever! I went to another studio (Liquid Ink) and had a wonderful experience. The artist there also warned me about the premature fading but then told me that he'd do my first touch up for free! Liquid Ink was clean, relaxed, and the staff was very nice. They also charged me 1/3 the price that Splash of Color wanted!! Pros: Clean, great price, great service, great job! Cons: The atmosphere is a little dark
