Review content:
Very dishonest management. I called to book a specific room-the day the story came out in the Dispatch about this place. The room I wanted was not available for the 2 nights I wanted to stay. (It was booked for 1 of those 2 nights). It was also already booked for every other weekend for the entire month. The manager suggested another room, that he said was ""just as good"". He talked me into reserving the other room. But after seeing it on the website, I was less than impressed. I called the guy back to cancel the reservation--the room he talked me into did not have the same view, or amenities, and I didn't want to ""settle"" for a room I really didn't want. (This cancellation phone call took place 1/2 hour after the reservation was made! ) He took my cancellation, and then said he would call this other guest (who had booked the desired room for one night) and see if she would be willing to stay in a different room. I told him ""that wasn't necessary, I didn't want to be responsible for moving another guest--we would just call back and reserve the room for another time-perhaps in the spring."" He insisted that he wanted to ""just check"" with this other guest and see if she would move and he would call me back."" He NEVER called me back, and he now insists that I never canceled my original reservation. The truth is I canceled it ON THE SAME DAY that I made it -- exactly ONE HALF HOUR AFTER I MADE IT!! Not only did he lose my cancellation, but he is also charging me $75.00 more than the actual cost of the room. Do not get ""roped in"" by these dishonest thieves. They are incompetent at their jobs, and it appears they will do anything to get your money. Pros: NO pros whatsoever Cons: Dishonest Management
