Review content:
My first experience with 9 North Tire was disappointing. I had been referred to them by a reputable repair shop that has never done me wrong, so I was hoping to find similar service at 9 North. The salesperson was deceptive to me. He showed me the price of the tires I was buying. When my car was ready, he named a price higher than I expected. I asked him about it and he said that it was higher because of the disposal fee and taxes. That I understand, but it was still high. When I looked at my repair order after leaving the shop, I realized he charged me $25 for a tire maintenance plan that he never once discussed with me. I?ve never bought tires from a place that automatically tacked on that fee without asking. I even gave him a second opportunity to be upfront when I asked why the bill was high, and he dismissed the price difference as disposal/taxes instead of being honest and mentioning that he charged me for an unsolicited maintenance plan. I don?t understand why someone would use deception to make an extra $25 instead of realizing that they just lost what would have been a very loyal customer if they had just been honest. (I?ve been going to my regular repair shop for years and have spent thousands of dollars there over the years and have referred several other loyal customers to them. This is what you get when you treat people with dignity and are honest with them.)
Pros: Easy-to-find location
Cons: Deceptive sales tactics
