I called for a quote and it seemed low. So I called back and they gave me the same quote, of course, not in writing. But once the men arrived they couldn't believe the quote I was given and they recalculated the quote, 80% higher, take it or leave it (hard to leave it when you made arrangements to be at home on a work day). My advice is that when you get an estimate from them, make sure it is in writing (and if they call you with a quote save the recording, which I did). And shop around. I emailed them and they denied bait & switch, and glossed over the issue. They told me that they just leave the invoice on your door to pay later, but apparently if you're in person they demand payment. And the ""receipt"" is scratched on a memo pad.
