Review content:
Savor Sonoma is a popular event on Hiway 12 every year.(in the month of March) That popularity also makes the prices sore at surrounding hotels. If you don't mind driving a few more minutes to the Doubletree in Rohnert Park, you will be happy. Check in is never a problem. You are greeted with a warm cookie & polite staff. The price is around $85-109(depending on how far in advance you book)& sometimes you can find a deal that includes breakfast. The rooms are always clean & have neutrogena amenities. In the lobby area, there is a fountain and roomy lounging area w/ a bar. I have seen the same bartender(older gentleman) 3 years running & he is friendly & knowledgeable. He is well versed in what he does & the drinks are well made. We have spent game night there with 20-30 of our close friends & he never is overwhelmed. One alcove has a fireplace w/ couches, another has a pool table & another has computers to check your emails. There is also a restaurant(Bacchus) where we have only had breakfast w/ buffet or menu to choose from. They have a selection that makes eveyone happy. There is plenty of parking around the hotel, so even if you arrive later in the evening, you will find a space.
Pros: Onsite restaurant & real nice accomodation for minimal price
Cons: 24 min drive to wine country
