Review content:
Some employees of E and J Iron Works sexually harassed my girlfriend outside our apartment. When I called the company this is exactly what happened: (I went outside, looked at the truck and called the number) Me: Hello, you have some employees working at 15 east 67 street that just sexually harassed my girlfriend. (They saw me calling their company number off their truck and drove away) Me: And now they're driving away. They were working at 15 east 67th street. Woman: Hold on. a full minute later? Woman: Did you get the license plate number? Me: No sorry they drove away. Woman: Okay well I don't know what you want me to do about it. Go to the police. Me: What? I can't believe you just said that. What I want you to do is find out who they were and reprimand or fire them. You're putting it in my hands to go to the police about this? I'm telling you your employees are sexually harassing people and you don't want to lift a finger? And she hung up on me. A note: I never yelled at the receptionist. I said everything calmly even if I was appalled/flustered. My point being that she hung up on me because she wanted to get off the phone with a potential problem asap; rather than apologize and possibly admit company responsibility. No apology. No inquiry. No nothing. If you hire this company there is a good chance that the workers will sexually harass someone on the premises. If this happens, don't expect management to hold them accountable, do anything about fixing the problem, or even apologize.
