Review content:
I lived here a few years back and hated it. Don't sign a lease here--it is overpriced without all the amenities you would expect from a complex that charges so much and is in a downtown location. What did I experience while I was living here? Bad service at the office, Loud parties, car break-ins, police helicopters shining a light down into the courtyard waking me up (looking for someone basically in my front yard... nice...) I had to harass multiple people at the office, hounding them for days, before I could get anything fixed. When my washer broke, I had to carry laundry for two people up and down the stairs three flights of stairs for over a month!!! And the situation would have continued had I not made a big fuss. Sexton Company is very cheap, and their residents end up getting sub-par living conditions. The insects were horrible. The buildings are overrun with ""house centipedes"" which do have a painful bite. Plus, they are very fast and have a very frightening appearance. Not fun. I'm not surprised to hear they now make you pay for guest parking now. They'll probably increase the price within a year. They are so cheap that while I was living there, they changed the trash pickup so that instead of having dumpsters by each building, now you have to take your trash ALL THE WAY TO THE OFFICE, a couple of blocks away in my case. How are people supposed to get it there? Inside your car? Gross. Sexton doesn't care, though. People would just put their trash bags on the hood of their car and drive it to the office. Wow. That's living the good life. Oh, by the way, the office trash compacter would often be over-filled and people would have to just leave their trash sitting on the ground. Racoons would get in and strew the trash all over... Not to mention how many rats and such were attracted by the situation. So nasty. The rent here is high enough that residents should expect more than they get. They know they can sucker IUPUI students into signing a lease, and many wont know better. It's just not worth it to live here. The trash situation, the fact that my appliances broke down multiple times and it was very difficult to get them fixed--absolutely unacceptable.
