Review content:
My daughter was enrolled in Clover Hill Children Center for the past year. On the surface all appeared to be well. However, once she turned 4, she was not promoted along with all other students that she had been in class with for the preceding year to the Pre-K class. We were told upon enrollment that all children will ""move up"" as they get older each year in the center. My daughter will start Kindergarten in Chesterfield County next year (2013-2014). All other students that were in her class during her tenure there as a 3 year old was moved into a Pre-K class upon turning 4, my daughter was not! My daughter is African-American, all of the other children are of Caucasian decent. I questioned the center director, and she could not give a logical answer as to why a child that is starting school next year is kept in a class with 3 year olds students. The other students, who are 4 years old in this class, were not there the previous full year. Additionally, when my daughter is picked up, I discovered that she was in the room with younger 3 year olds, while other 4 year old students in the Pre-K program were in another area.
