My Fianc? and I looked at Barley Sheaf for our wedding next year. We set up a meeting with Lola, who said she was the owner. We toured the grounds and fell in love with the scenery. We decided we wanted to have our wedding there even though the price was high for us. We then continued to call them for 2-weeks straight trying to get them to send us over a written agreement. Finally a woman that we had never heard from before got back to us to let us know that the price we were given was incorrect, and was actually $50.00 more PER PERSON! This was such an outrageous jump in price for no reason. They would not honor the price we were given in writing. They were extremely unprofessional about the whole thing. The price increase made Barley Sheaf completely not affordable, and we had to walk away. We did not want any surprises like this for our wedding! We ended up booking with Holly Hedge Estate down the road from them, which was a MUCH cheaper price, and way better service. I would NOT suggest supporting this B&B, where there are tons of others in this are that are way better.
