Review content:
We went to Vallozzi's restaurant last evening for my 75th Birthday. The food was superb, the wine was excellent and the wait staff was outstanding. It was an excellent Birthday experience. HOWEVER: As we were leaving, I was waiting for my lady friend when I noticed some small pieces of chocolate laying on the service bar. I assumed they were complimentary. (did I mention that I am 75 years old and had two glasses of wine)? The hostess raised her voice and said ""Sir, you will have to pay for that"" I said OK and figured that would take care of it. She asked me my name and started to look at her seating list. She asked my what I was doing ie. eating, waiting for a seat or just hanging around. She then told me not to leave until she checked the price and went to the lounge and bar area. After a few minutes my lady friend came up and said ""are we ready"" and I replied ""not yet, I think I am under house arrest."" The hostess then returned with (I assume) a member of management. She proceeded to point me out to the manager by pointing at me and saying ""there he is, that's the one"" This was extremely embarrassing as I was standing in the lobby, surrounded by other people. The manager looked at me and the door and said ""go ahead"" I will return to Vallozzi's and hope the hostess is off for the evening.
