Review content:
Appliance City is right in our neighborhood and we were happy support a local business and buy something used - essentially recycled - but I think now that we probably wasted our money.
The people at the store are very friendly, very helpful - our 'new' washer was delivered very shortly after we'd bought it and of course they took away the old one 'for free'.
But we'd bought a repaired washer only a few years old - spending about $150 - and it is now leaking oil INTO the laundry. A search online shows that it's probably a part that will be too expensive to make sense fix - and since the 60 day warranty from the store ran out about 4 months ago, we're back to square one.
I am disappointed that their 'repair' or 'service' to the used machine lasted such a short time. We'll be biting the bullet and buying a brand new machine, probably from a box box store this time (though it pains me to say so!)
Pros: Close-in, friendly service.
Cons: Ultimately a false economy
