I love this place. It's best after dark, sitting in the dim candlelight, soaking up the swanky atmosphere and buzz, people watching in the big mirror above the bar. Then your food arrives -- everything is beautifully presented, tastes even better than it looks, and the happy hour prices are a steal. Does it get much better than this? Sure the staff can have an attitude, but that's part of the charm. Over the years as the bar and restaurant scene changes in PDX, I still keep Saucebox in my top 5.
Pros: Atmosphere, food & drink
Cons: Not so good for large groups unless you have a reservation
