Businiess name:  Cadman Plaza Garage

Review content:
Ok. Anyone going to see July 4th fireworks has to anticipate a delay getting out of the garage and out of the city. But the garage operator also has to anticipate increased volume and have a PLAN! Took us and hordes of others over 2 hours to get out of this garage last night. Stifling heat, unhealthy air, (I had to use an inhaler), untold gallons of wasted, precious gasoline, and repeated visits from NYPD and NYFD did nothing to move the garage manager to try and correct the problem. He wouldn't open a second exit, provide arrangements for advance payment, open an expedited line for those paying cash (their credit card machine was malfunctioning), or set up a system to have attendants go down the line of cars collecting cash so those cars could exit more quickly. The place was a zoo -- while customers were more than agitated (horns honking, brakes screeching, yelling), they were by and large well behaved. But the manager was clueless, complaining that someone broke a gate on the exit he refused to open. How it didn't degenerate into something more dangerous or violent is a small miracle. This place needs to be fined or otherwise investigated/sanctioned. Not NYC at it's best, to say the least.
