Cons: 8pm reservations, weren't seated until 8:40p. They apologized, at least, but no offer of a drink or appetizer. Hostess was at times in a full run in the middle of the restaurant trying to seat people....admirable effort but disorganized and unprofessional. Waiter disappeared for 15 minutes after drink orders, and was in a hurry to take our orders and move on with his life. Had no interest in discussing the menu. Water glasses continually left unfilled. Sirloin was was quite sinewy and not the quality I've had at Sparks, Del Friscos, Wolfgangs, Ben Bensons, etc. Mashed potatoes were dry and unappealing. Lighting is very harsh upstairs. Prices in line with Manhattan....but you're in Rye. Pros: Beautiful space, fireplace lit with candles, sweeping second floor, primo location. Lobster cocktail was decent, as was the creamed spinach. Filet was very good. Bustling for a cold Thursday night. Busy bar scene. Pros: Scene, Architecture, Wine list Cons: Service, Expensive, Loud
