Recently had National Tree Experts (apparently same company as AmeriTree, they just use multiple names), come to my home in Severn to perform services after they came to my home soliciting work (they claimed were in neighborhood) Well I should have done my research and got other quotes but I mistakingly rushed into having them do the work. Their fast scheduling seemed to good to be true, guess it really was, but after talking with the estimator he led me to believe I didn't have time to wait based on the health of my trees.
They came out to perform 2 large Oak removals (they told me trees were diseased and needed to be removed) and 4 Oak Pruning/Deadwoods. When they arrived the foreman / salesman quickly left the site and started going door to door soliciting my neighbors for additional work, I found this very unprofessional. What I was left with was a full crew of which none could speak understandable English, to take care of my job. I had questions and the crew could only shrug or say the didn't know, or point to the gentleman up the road for more info. I was furious that they lead me to believe the man I originally met with would be at my home the day of service and throughout the job. He was to busy trying to make money elsewhere, I thought that my paying for services would be enough to get his attention for a few hours but apparently with them you do not get what you pay for. They were rough and careless dropping branches on my roof and deck, and the mess they left took my husband and I two days to clean up, they didnt even rake around wood on ground just blew of sidewalks and grass with blower moving mess around.
The gentleman had told me my trees were diseased and needed to be removed, based on some damage to the trunks (damage my children had caused with their toys, I explained that and he said no it definately was diseased) At end of the day when my beautiful ""dying"" trees came down the wood was healthy and the man (who had shown back up magically to collect check!) Said they weren't ""that bad off"" after all. Really so my diseased trees that I was guilted into thinking were going to harm my home and family were completely healthy after all. I will say the crew worked hard that is my only compliment for National, but they worked unsafely as well. This in my book was a mistake that can not be reversed, I can not put back the beautiful trees that this company conned me into removing for the safety of my family. Completely disapointed, and absolutely sick over the damage to my property! What a scam, I am filing complaint through the Better Business Bureau as well as Department of Natural Resources, these ""certified tree experts/arborist"" don't have a clue! Buyer BEWARE!
