This company is a SCAM - AVOID USING AT ALL COST
I'll let me review be heard by the letter I sent to the company after they did not show for the job...and refused to refund my deposit of $800 after doing no work whatsoever besides taking my name and address.
I am writing to report that nationwide abandoned me during a critical move period. Robert assured me on the phone that the dates of May 25 and 26 were not a problem. It was clearly stated that I was flying back from Chicago to Dallas specifically to meet the movers and and to be completely moved out of my apartment of the 26th. I was completely abandoned. No one showed for the job or attempted to help make this happen within this time frame. No one called me to communicate anything despite my repeated calls and emails. Robert - you were involved with me on this to start the process - Please step up to the plate and make this right.
I subsequently had to hire another company at a huge rate to show up last second to move my belongings. Clearly, in addition to the increased moving charge, I have incurred tremendous inconvenience and out of pocket costs. In addition, I was forced to cancel on my family over Memorial Day weekend to stay in Dallas to find a company who could fulfill its obligation to move.
Despite Nationwide's reassurances that the pick-up would be made on may 25th or 26th and despite the fact that Nationwide completely abandoned me, today customer service denied my request for a refund of my deposit. My lawyer tells me that I not only have a right to a full refund, but the additional expenses I incurred as a result of Nationwide's abandonment of its duties.
If I do not hear back from someone at Nationwide Relocation to refund my deposit this afternoon, I will be pursuing strong legal action. In addition I will make sure this injustice is heard by the BBB and every website which I can in detail describe the sequence of all of these events.
