We used to visit the Jasper's in Crofton regularly for the Sunday buffet, which was delicious and well laid out.
This off-shoot, Jasper's American Grille, just doesn't have the 'flair' to keep me coming back. The food is just ok. We've eaten there several times over the past 3-4 years. But I never find myself say, ""Let's go to Jaspers!"", it's more of ""well they are open"" or we happen to be passing the restaurant.
When dinning this past Sunday my son found a black potato in his mashed potatoes. It was about the size of a large gumball. It was rather nasty and black when we cut it open. We told the waitress and the manager came by our table to offer another dish of the mashed potatoes. But we declined.
A little more attention to what is being served would help, but at least it was a food item!
Buffalo chk salad was ok. Might be nice to offer a Buff Chick sandwich too.
I'm not sure what can be done to improve the menu...or maybe it's just not my kind of taste.
Pros: Beautiful decor, great smoky smell
Cons: so-so food
