Review content:
Worst experience ever. I was a regular in this store for almost 7 years. One day in september I brought my daughter in for a haircut and she was quickly dismissed from the chair. The sytlist informed me that the reason was because she thought my daughter had lice (which I found out later was not the case.)
As I was ready to leave, the owner Bridgette informed me that I ""it is best I leave as soon as possible"" and she escorted me and my daughter out of the place like we had the plague. We felt like criminals the way we were abrubtly thrown of the store. The worst part was explaining what happened to my then 7 year old. I can't believe that a hair salon that specializes in children would not be more sensitive and adept in handling situations of this kind. They should also have information handy for the treatments of such issues. Instead they just throw people out.
It seems that they could benefit in training their staff to tell the difference between lice and ordinary dry scalp (which is what I found out to be the case for my daughter after taking her to another salon that specialized in children. )
Lulus has lost my business for ever. I would say that, before this event occured, I easily dropped $1000 there over the years. Now I get my child's hair cut by a real professional stylist. When you think about it, any hairstylist that is worth anything would not work in a place that sells toys too.
For haircuts I recommend Lucas from brooklyn (check him out on Yelp) He comes to your house. For toys I now go to Kidding Around in Manhattan.
Do yourself a favor and stay away from this amateur show.
