My wife and I recently decided to have custom closets done in all our bedrooms. We did much research on the different companies; California Closets oh the high end and EZ Closets on the DIY low end.
As did all the other companies, (with the exception of the DIY solutions) Mike Kaufman, the owner of the Redmond franchise came to our house to give their pitch. Mike was very friendly and VERY HONEST. There were several times when he would steer us away from some of the options California Closets really pushed. His rationale was very simple. It was guidance like the quote below that made them our solution of choice.
"...if you want to pay 30% more for your shelves, I will be happy to add the half round edge. But for something that sits behind a closet door 90% of the time, is it really worth the additional expense?"
There was little difference in the various companies products. Closet & Storage Concepts uses the same mounting system as California Closets. They also offer the same kind of warranty.
The biggest difference was in the price. For the same price that California Closets quoted us for one closet, we were able to do all 4 rooms with identical closet designs.
Give them a call. You and your pocketbook will be happy you did.
