A flooded basement led to our call on Christmas night. As expected, the charge for coming out was high--$300. So my husband bailed the water and waited til morning, when the service call was quoted as $50 (plus whatever the repair would cost) We were not informed about a flat fee for all calls, and we were charged over $300 for their service of pumping a tiny bit of water and relighting the water heater. (After they came out they ask that we sign an estimate for what they charged---of course we were over the barrel and needed hot water, so we agreed. But we were mislead as to cost when we requested their service in the initial call ) We were also given a quote of $1500 for replacement of our sump pump. My husband ended up going to the plumbing supply himself, where he purchased and installed a new pump for around $225. We will not use this company again, and do not recommend them if you care about price.
