I have a 10 yr old furnace that started vibrating. Solar Bear came out, inspected it, and told me the blower bearings were shot and the blower needed to be replaced. I was also told the burners needed to be sanded. I was told it would be best to buy a new furnace since more repairs would likely be needed soon. (Life expectancy is 20 years on the model I have) I called another company for a 2nd opinion. They actually pulled out the blower, and found it needed cleaning and took it to a car wash to thorougly clean it. That was the only problem. They told me my furnace is in great shape. When I stopped by Solar Bear to explain what happened, the manager/owner said his technicians where from Arizona, where they are paid on commission to sell repairs/new systems. He apologized, gave me two electrostatic filters, and signed me up for a free two year maintenence agreement. I had to return later (a few weeks) because the filters were the wrong size. He exchanged them, but tried to sell me a furnace he had in the back. He said since I walked into his shop, he had to try to sell me something. I'm not letting them back into my home again.
