Review content:
Plumbco located in Van Nuys, California, evolved from good to mediocre to really bad. \r
During his first visit, Mr. Glassman installed a gas line connecting to my washer/dryer. He did a good job. . \r
Months later, I called him after my toilet overflowed & water backed up, in my bathtub. He ran a plumber's snake & extracted wipeys which were dropped in the toilet located in the front house. He also installed a ""cheap"" faucet which I will not comment on in this post. Mr. Glassman remained at the property for less than 30 minutes. \r
On 12/25/08, the toilet overflowed and water again, backed up into the tub. I called Mr. Glassman who again ran the snake & dredged up a ""small"" pile of what he said were wipeys. Mr. Glassman charged $150 and finished in less than 20 minutes. \r
The following morning while bathing, brown water poured through the drain. I quickly got out of the shower but saw water rising in the toilet. The water poured over the rim and spread across the bathroom floor and into the hall. I called Arie and told him the problem had reoccurred. Rudely, he exclaimed, ""I don't work for free!"" \r
I paid Mr. Glassman during each visit to my home making his statement both inappropriate and rather stupid. He said he would see if he could come out again & offered to call me in a short while. While waiting, I contacted the landlord because whatever I paid to Mr. Glassman was deducted from the rent. The landlord told me he thought Mr. Glassman's charges were too high and said that if Mr. Glassman agreed to come to the house again, that he first contact the landlord. Mr. Glassman called back a short time later and said he would come by in the next 3 hours, I asked him to contact the landlord. Sometime later, Mr. Glassman arrived but due to a previous appointment, I left while he worked. When I returned later that day, my roommate said Mr. Glassman again charged another $150. I called the landlord to inform him that the work had been completed & about the cost. He told me that Mr. Glassman had been ""rude"" when they spoke earlier that day. If Mr. Glassman had done the job correctly there would be no reason to have called him 2 days in a row or pay him $300 to unclog a single pipe. But what made matters worse are his insolent, disrespectful attitude. I afterwards, posted a complaint on www.ripoffreport. \r
A few weeks later, the toilet again overflowed and water filled the bathtub. I called the landlord who called another plumber. That plumber, a young man, ran a snake and remained at the property for more than 1 hour. When he finished, he dredged out a pile of roots. For some reason, Mr. Glassman had been unable to dredge up roots. Maybe its because he was in a hurry to do the work, collect a check and leave! \r
On 6/11/09, at about 10:39 p.m., my cellular rang. It was Mr. Glassman. He ranted and raved about the post critiquing his work, alleging it was inaccurate, full of inconsistencies, and alluding to what I wrote as ""cr-p."" He accused me of placing him ""in a prison"" and said there are more than 55 posts online praising his work. I told him I only documented what I experienced. I finally ended the call after I reminded him of the time. \r
On Saturday, 6/13/09, Mr. Glassman left a long voice mail & asked that I call him. I called him back and told him that my post was correct and true but he started to argue. I stopped him, stating he was becoming an annoyance. He started to yell, ""I'm going to kick your a--. I'm going to your house and I'm going to hurt you. I'm going to teach you a lesson."" He went on and on and on while my roommate listened on the loudspeaker. I hung up but he called back immediately and left another long, drawn out voice mail in he slandered my character. I have now filed a report with the LAPD, filed a complaint with Service Magic, & have written to the state Licensing Board of California.\r
