Went in to buy high quality craft beers and took my 19 year old son with me. I carried 4 six packs and a couple of bottles of Chimay to the counter asked my son to carry 2. We were getting prepared for company. Every 6 pack was a $10, or so craft beer. We set down our beer on the counter and they asked to see my son's id. I said, "He's not buying the beer. I am." They claimed that if he had touched the product they could not sell it. Supposedly according to Kansas law. They also said that it was illegal for him to be in the store. I left the entire purchase on the counter, and went home to look up the Kansas law. It is NOT illegal for a minor to be in their store - only for them to sell to a minor. The Kansas law specifically gives me the right to serve alcohol to my son at any age. They were wrong. I have spent thousands on good beer in their store, but I will never go there again. They were rude, and they don't even know the laws that they claim to be following.
