One of the most annoying problems to have as a girl is car problems. Why? Not because we aren't capable of getting it fixed or understanding what is wrong with it when a mechanic explains it to us. But for the sheer fact that most of the time, we get screwed at auto repair shops, simply for being a girl.
So what's a girl to do? Wait around for our fathers, brothers or boyfriends to take our car in and get a decent quote? If you want to take matters into your own hands, there is a better option. Take in your car to Lucas Auto Care.
My Toyota Rav 4 started having problems with its breaks a few weeks ago. Every time I pressed on the breaks, my whole car started shaking like it was in the middle of an earthquake. And on top of that the wonderful ""Check Engine"" light came on. My last straw came when I tried to come to a stop at a stop sign and it made crazy noise and didn't come to a complete stop. I finally had it and decided that I was going to rely on the City Search community to point me in the right direction of a good mechanic....and with five stars; I decided Lucas Auto Care must be good.
I met Ashleigh, the service manager, (a fellow girl!) and I can't say enough great things about her. She is so nice, helpful, and explains things really well. On top of that, that girl is so happy. She's always smiling! Turns out that my car needed new rotors and break pads in the front; And one of my sensors in my engine had gone bad and needed replacement. I had a mild heart attack when Ashleigh told me the diagnosis; mostly because I thought it was going to cost me an arm and a leg. However, she quoted me a great price. I even called around a couple of places to compare. All the shops I called were more expensive. One shop was very close to Lucas. Ashleigh laughed when I told her this and she said maybe they should raise their prices. I begged her not to! It took them a day to fix my car and they even threw in a free oil change.
I will for sure come back to Lucas Auto Care any time I have problems with my car. Go there. Save yourself a headache. Car problems are less frustrating when you are dealing with good, honest people. Enough said.
Happy working car, happy girl:)
