Review content:
Formerly a Chinese restaurant Lencho's is now Mexican. I suspect the owners are the same. While the menu offers the usual Mexican selections of tacos, enchiladas, burritos, chimichangas etc. it fails to include the standard ""combinations"" typically found in a Mexican restaurant. On a recent visit seating was prompt and beverages were at the table in moments and service was good. However, the menu lacked the combination members of our party wanted and we were told by the server that they were not available resulting in one of our party ordering ""a la carte"" and being charged for two entrees. The salsa served with the chips was watery and bland with nothing to distinguish it from crushed tomatoes with green onion. The basket of chips looked like it had been recycled from a previous table as some of the chips midway through the basket had splashes of salsa and bits of green onion on them. The tacos are in orders of three and were overpowered with cumin and short on meat. A chicken enchilada was also meager, with little chicken and topped with a bland sauce and no cheese. Our party all agreed that the overall experience would not warrent a return visit but to be fair the restaurant had only been ""Mexican"" for about six weeks. Also, prices seem a bit high considering portion size and quality. For those who truely love authentic Mexican fare it will likely be a disapointment. They may make needed adjustments in time. On the plus side the decor is a plesant Mexican theme without being tacky and parking is ample and convienient.
Pros: Good service, ample parking
Cons: Below average food quality, portion size, lacking ""authentic"" Mexican flavors.
