Before this past weekend, I was hesitant in visiting the reinvention of Zink in the former M5 location in South park, but after having meal here, I was pleasantly surprised. Being that it was a friday evening, the place was pretty busy. The bar area was packed and the tables were a 30 minute wait. We had no problem waiting, but then walked back to the quiet lounge area attached to the bar and there were a few tables open which we snagged one up. I would suggest doing this unless you desperately want to sit in a chair at a table. This area offers both the full menu and Bar Menu which has smaller portions for $5, all were a good deal. After getting a couple drinks and a few Bar items, the food was great thus far so we decided to stay for dinner. I had ordered the Flank Steak with Parmesean Truffle Fries and an arugula Salad. All were fantastic. The flank steak was cooked perfectly and surprisingly tender for the cut of meat. The only real disappointment was the desert. I ordered the creme brulee but it was no longer available, so I opted for the ice cream sandwich cookie. It was massive, but lacked flavor and I wouldn't ever order it again. All in all, the visit was a good one and I think this type of cuisine will have a lot more success in this location for the Harpers Group.
