Review content:
I've tried numerous tailors in this city and I'm sad that there aren't more that I could recommend. I had used this couple in the past and they are actually fine for simple things like pants hemming, but sadly, if they screw up, that's just it. I just took in a beautiful chocolate brown silk Juicy Couture dress that cost $300 but was a little too big in the chest. The tailor recommended she take it up a bit at the shoulders and a little more on the sides. Well, now the chest is entirely screwed up, as if there were an extra pocket off the side of each of my breasts, she also took it up way too much and now it sits so high that the sash that should go underneath the chest now goes up over the bottom 3rd or half of them. I realized this 15 minutes before I was supposed to wear the dress and was in a huge bind for a luncheon. I finally had the chance to take the dress back and show them how unwearable it is and the tailor said, ""no, I told you sorry, I couldn't fix it."" I guarantee she did not say this and even pointed out to her that if she had, I wouldn't have given her a check for $36, I would have returned the dress which HAD still had the tags on them (in her over-chopping of this piece she has now removed the tags and the Juicy Couture label). I then tried Santos Tailors on Veterans, who my husband trusts immensely and who I will now be going to instead, but sadly they agreed the dress is now ruined beyond repair. So, instead of a $300 dress, I have a $336 piece of silk and a bunch of wasted time. I am absolutley heartbroken about the loss of this really cute dress and would even go back and buy a second one brand new but can't even find it at the store or online anymore. Does anyone know what legal grounds I may have here? The only thing I can do now is to warn the rest of you from throwing time and money down the drain with this horrible company and their horrible service.
Pros: They can have your stuff done (or ruined) in a week or less
Cons: They will ruin your clothes and take your money and not be held responsible for any of it.
