I was thrilled to find Freedom Farm. It's a full service equestrian facility at the heart of why NJ is called the ""Garden State."" It looks nothing like what you see on the Turnpike. It only took me 55 minutes once I crossed the Holland Tunnel to get there. It has a terrific & curteous staff & a great indoor ring! They also have a regulation-size outdoor ring, beautifully manicured lawns, large turn-out fields for the horses--5!!!--and have about 20 stalls. I was attracted by the story of the owner, Pete, who moved from NYC after 9/11 to follow his passion with horses. He has surrounded himself with some of the most renowned trainers in the industry, often hosting internationally recognized trainers who visit the facililty. I truly enjoyed leaving the noise of the city for this serene part of NJ where I was able to have the training customized to my needs & not the other way around (as I used to find at other facilities). I highly recommend Freedom Farm.
