Review content:
I took a good 45.00 leather belt to this guy to have it shortened to 41"" and a snap put on the unfinished end of the belt to use it with universal belt buckles. The guy totally ruined the belt by putting the snap on the belt first then measuring from the snap end (unfinished end) to the good finished end of the belt that had the existing holes already and stitching on the end. He punched 5 new holes giving a total of 10 holes. Then he was going to cut it down at the good end of the belt where the stitching came around & where the holes were, meaning the stitching would be cut off on the end and it would be cut off in between the existing holes so there would be holes right to very end of the belt. I tried to explain to him it should be measured first starting from the good end of the belt where the stitching and existing holes are then to the unfinished end to the 41"" then the snap added. At least that's what common sense would tell you how it should be done. He then got an attitude because he felt iI was trying to tell him how to do his job. End result, he did it wrong!! To make a long story short. The guy was dumber than a box of rocks and I ended up with a 45.00 good leather belt that was 39"" long instead of the 41"" that I originally asked for & it had 10 holes at the end, the 5 existing holes plus the 5 he punched in that where all crooked and uneven. When i tried to get it on it was to short and all the crooked holes he punched in wrapped clear around my side and could be seen. The sickening part about the whole thing was, he rolled up the belt and handed it to me knowing he screwed it up and said no charge it's on me but asked me to put money in the jar on the counter for some cause which i did. I left there thinking what a cool guy he did all that work for free. After getting home come to find out he wasn't a cool guy after all and the only reason he didn't charge me was because he knew he ruined my 45.00 belt and felt guilty about doing it. So I lost the 45.00 plus the money I put in his jar. Will never do business with that idiot again. WARNING!! DO NOT take your personal belts in to him to get cut to size because he doesn't know what the heck he's doing!
