Review content:
We purchased a flat panel TV in 2008 and it needed service on July of this year. It had a black mark ingrained in the screen.
After having the local company pick it up and send it to orbital for service, we thought we'd get it back in about a month.
As I write this, we still haven't got out TV back. It's been over 2 months and I've called the local company (who didn't get any farther than I did with orbital), the warranty company and orbital.
The last time I called orbital about a week ago, I was put on hold for 10 minutes. I called back 4 times until I told them to listen to what I had to say. After getting nowhere, I told this wonderful woman on the phone I was filing a complaint with the NYS Attorney General.
Her response: ""You can do whatever you want Sir"".
This morning, I called the warranty company again and asked them to call orbital to see when it would be repaired & shipped back to us.
They told them that they were still ""testing"" it and if it can't be repaired, they'd send a new one. Hey, there's a thought! I suggested this a month ago and they told me ""if we think it can be repaired, we must repair it"".
Orbital also lied when they told me a month ago they just received it that morning - when I know for a fact the local company sent it out more than a month before I called them, Our local company called us when they sent it out at the end of August.
If someone EVER tells you that your product will be shipped to orbital, Run for the Hills!
This is NOT a company you want to have anything to do with after buying an extended warranty and shipping it to them for ""service""!
