Six tables is unusual, memorable and one of the best restaurants in the Tampa Bay area. Great ambience to take a date or a client that you really want to impress with something different that is in very good taste. Don't be put-off by it's location in a rather dingy little strip shopping center in a non-descript part of town. As you approach the door, you'll wonder if the place is even still in business. Go on in and enjoy. Our dishes were absolutely luscious! I had filet of sole over a bed of risoto with a creamy white sauce that was off-the-charts. I seriously considered picking up my plate and licking it to get every last drop. (Oops, forgot! This place is supposed to be tasteful.) My wife had a superb cumquot glazed breast of duck that was perfectly cooked and not as greasy as duck can sometimes be. An almond mousse with caramel sauce desert for me and a dynamite chocolate mousse for my wife finished us off and left us pining to go back again. The special format of this restaurant is totally charming, Where else can you shake hands with the chef at the end of the meal and give him direct feedback on what you liked best? Where else is the menu a delightful surprise at each visit? Just don't go too often unless you are well-healed. With a medium-priced bottle of wine ($ 50.00) and a 15% tip, the bill comes to about $ 150.00 per person. Unlike some restaurants, (Armani's comes immediately to mind) that are more pretension than substance, Six Tables is worth the price of admission. Pros: Food, ambience, unique way of operating Cons: Outide appearance of the restaurant
