Review content:
It was a special occasion for our group of 14 and the restaurant was touted as being top notch ! What a disappointment it was - - the appetizers of shrimp cocktails were great, but the cocktail sauce was hot enough to burn your mouth (a great comparison would be Chinese ""hot"" mustard). Next came the soup course - - we opted for squash soup which, while very creamy, tasted more like a dessert - - way too much butter and brown sugar . . . where was the squash? The Chateaubriand would melt in your mouth but only after cutting off the outer edges because the spicy, overly-peppered coating was enough to burn your tongue. It was a pricey evening and most of group felt that we should have saved the time, money, gas and our stomachs by chosing among the many better restaurants closer to home.
Pros: Service exceptional - great waitstaff
Cons: Food well below expectations
