Review content:
I understand the ladies point of view; however, as someone who knows the heart of the church, that's not the case. The opening song is meant to be just that, a welcome. It's not intended to be sung along with. You're welcome to, as always, which is why they put up the lyrics. But it's usually a new song, so the congregation doesn't know it yet. The large screens usually have lyrics on them, as we have a large auditorium and obstructed view without multiple screens. They do sometimes show people's faces, but it's usually to show the worship going on, not to glorify the person, but to show you they are glorifying God. I'm really sorry these people didn't enjoy the worship. I really hope that if you come and have a bad experience you would feel free to speak to someone on staff about your concerns. I can assure you that the hearts of the worship team are rejoicing God and praising Him. If you prefer quieter music, it may not be the place for you. I personally love it, and if you do, great!
