Review content:
One of the great and original dive-bars in the Lake Merritt area (but without the having-to-take-a-shower feeling once you walk out the door), Baggy's is a place for everyone. The two main bartenders are also co-owners, really love the place and make every visitor feel at home.
Baggy's is also set up much like a great house party, with tables and chairs set up along the right wall, a long bar on the left, and sofas in the back. Everything is either plush or dark wood, and just feels like the friendly neighborhood joint it is.
Bring in spring rolls from Anh Dao (the great neighbrohood Vietnamese place next door), listen to the piano player they have a few times a week, or just visit after going to the Parkway Theatre. All in all, Baggy's is a great place to hang out with friends and feel at home.
Pros: Friendly barman, Inexpensive everythin, Great jukebox
