Meir Leshem is the most authentic astanga teacher in San Francisco. He is rigerous and tough yet humerous, articulate and with a copmpasionate side as well. He teaches a no frills, no props, genuine astanga class. Sunday at 9:30 he offers the full primary series. Wednesday's at 6 the second series is offered. Mysore and various other classes are offered by him and his other great teachers.
Best kept secret in the Bay Area is this studio. Maybe partly because he does not advertise or utilize much in the way of modern day effects like internet etc to get the word out.
Wonderful setting in a pleasent studio in a quiet neighborhood close to Golden Gate Park make this place a very nice experience! 9.8 rating
Pros: authentic, quiet, good parking
