I got the most awful haircut of my entire life at this place. Im a male with curly hair and went in with very simple instructions: leave most of my length, just trim down on the sides and back so it doesn't look as wild. Well, she cut off half my length all over, and everything is the same exact length. Basically, it couldn't be worse. Before I got my hair cut here, I went to my campus barber and the beauty school salon (those are students and you subject yourself to practice). I got a better cut at both of those places. Van Davis claims to do both men's and women's hair, but from my experience, it is clear they lied. If you are a guy looking for a place to get a hair cut, STAY AWAY.
