I own a condo managed by Cal West. Having worked professionally with several property management companies, I can say with confidence that this is the sloppiest, most ineffective, most unorganized property management company out there. It is amazing they are still in business. They are unresponsive to property owners needs. They seem to forget that they work for us, not the other way around. I pay a good chunk of money each money for these lazy folks to sit on their ass on not pick up the phone, or to pick up the phone and tell me that the person who can help me ""is not in today"". They are impossible to get a hold of, they don't maintain proper accounting records, they don't maintain HOA statements (if you can believe it), and they are MEAN!
They don't even have a website. If you are shopping for a property management company, avoid this company at all costs. There are much better managers out there who will work FOR you, and earn the money you pay them each month.
Cons: poor accounting methods, unresponsive to property owners
