Review content:
The food and service was great, though the host and wait was not very pleasant even though I had a reservation.
For those that don't know, they undercooked their steaks because they serve them on a sizzling iron platter. That way, your steak stays warm and doesn't get overcooked. I like my steaks rare, so having it a little undercooked doesn't matter. I've had people tell me that they had steaks that melted in the mouth before, but I didn't believe it until I had a rare filet mignon at Ruth's Chris. The sides weren't bad, but a little too rich in terms of getting you fat. I left room for the dessert and it was so worth it. If the place wasn't so darn expensive (over $100 for 2), I would go back again and again until I tried all the desserts. The prices are reminiscent of Las Vegas prices (e.g., ~$40 for a filet mignon), but the food is so much better. If you sign up for their newsletter or keep an eye out for specials deals, you can get a nice 3 course meal for a fairly good deal.
The major down side is that they have a strict dress code. Even in the blistering heat of the valley, you still can't wear shorts.
Pros: Great steaks, wine, and dessert.
Cons: Side dishes not special. Unpleasant host. Pricey. Wait time.
