I have been taking my animals to Cathy's for years because of her cheap prices, but it wasnt until my cat had a real emergency did I realize how horrible of a vet she is. I took my cat in for a urinary blockage, she cathitered him, said he is unblocked, and said he is ready to go home. On the way out the door we noticed that the cathiter was still in. We informed Cathy and she ripped it right out with the cat fully awake! Since the moment we brought him home he couldnt urinate. So the next day we took him to an emergency hospital, since Cathy wasnt open. They diagnosed him with bladder stones via xray. Turns out that he had over 100 stones and a few were embedded in his urethral linning. When I called Cathy to tell her about the misdiagnosis she was very rude to me saying that since I went to another vet that my service with her is over. She also said that when my cat left he was unblocked, but how would she klnow this if she only removed the cathitor on the way out the door. She also said that she would have just pushed the stones back into the bladder and let them ""roll around"" until another blockage happed, and then maybe take an xray. She also had the nerve to say that I should have released my cat from a very caring hospital and taken him back to her care where she would have done the surgery in the unsanitary operating room. Somehow I was supposed to bring him back to her, when she is not open on the weekend nor does she take emergency calls. My cat would be dead if I waited for her. I would strongly recommend taking your pet somewhere else. The prices may be higher but the life of your pet is worth it.
