I had a deck built by Garuda- sorry to say I have to concur with one of the prior reviewers- the wood he used was awful. (I have stained/sealed it every year, so that's not the problem.) Also, his crew does not bolt the large corner boards on the upper railings- other quality deckbuilders in my neighborhood bolted these boards. Gary's crew used nails only. Poorer build. If you don't mind losing $5-8k to his lowerbid contract and much sooner than necessary having to rebuild, then go ahead. If I could go back, I'd choose a different builder that uses much better wood and bolts the corner rails.
