I visited Sanibel last summer and the memory of how much I loved Schmapper's made me decide to write a review after so much time. We actually ate there for lunch one day and liked it so much we went back the next. The hot dogs are fried on the grill and it gives them this great crispy exterior, absolutely fantastic. The hamburgers, which I got the second day, are possibly even better. I'm not sure what they do that's different, but they're delicious. The fries are standard, definitely not as good as the mains. A warning, there's not really any in room to sit inside, though there are picnic tables outside, but everything's pretty close so take your food and eat it on the beach! Hope I go back to Sanibel someday just so I can eat at Schapper's again.
