Sellers Be Ware
If you are planning a property Closing at Trustworthy Land Title Co. Inc., 5975 Castle Creek Parkway N. Drive, Suite 120, Indianapolis, IN 46250 be sure to get your check on Closing Day or you may wait a week or more for your money.
I was the seller of a property on a Thursday afternoon at Trustworthy and after the closing I was told it was too late for the bank to cut the check. They told me they would mail the check out tomorrow (Friday) and I should get it by Tuesday so I agreed.
When I didn?t receive the check Tuesday, I called and was told yes they had mailed the check out over the weekend and I should get it tomorrow (Wednesday). When I didn?t receive the check on Wednesday I called and was told if I didn?t receive it by Friday they would overnight a new check.
I received my check on Friday and low and be hold the check was dated Tuesday and the envelop was dated Wednesday, four work days after they had told me they had mailed it. So all in all it was a week and a day after the closing to receive my check. This was totally unacceptable to me and I will never use Trustworthy again. No pun intended, but they are not trustworthy.
